Title IV
Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act provides that no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance (refer to 23 CFR 200.9 and 49 CFR 21).
The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council (MACC), as a recipient of federal financial assistance, is required to ensure that its services and related benefits are distributed in a manner consistent with Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964, as amended.
Any person who believes that he or she, individually or as a member of any specific class of persons, has been subjected to discrimination under Title VI, on the basis of race, color, or national origin, may file a written complaint with the MACC.
